ABOUT THE PROJECT
Our client, an international multi-entity group, is building a security-critical, privacy-first information system on its own on-premise infrastructure: hardened mobile and desktop applications, hardware-key authentication, legally isolated data for each group entity, and self-hosted finance and AI capabilities.
The programme is delivered by a senior, multi-disciplinary team working in two-week agile sprints, with compartmentalised access and a strong culture of security by design.
WORK ARRANGEMENT
This is a remote position: you will work from home, from Madagascar. No attendance at DI-Africa's offices is required.
THE ROLE
Build the hardware-key authentication experience of the Android client: YubiKey over NFC, lost-key and account-freeze flows, USB OTG support and transaction initiation screens, in close collaboration with UX.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
● Implement YubiKey 5 NFC WebAuthn authentication on Android.
● Build the lost-key and account-freeze user journeys with the UX Designer.
● Support USB OTG hardware keys as an alternative path.
● Develop high-trust approval and initiation screens in TypeScript/React with the payments and UX teams.
● Validate behaviour on real devices in the shared device lab with QA (hardware-in-the-loop).
TECHNICAL ENVIRONMENT
● Kotlin, TypeScript/React.
● YubiKey 5 NFC, WebAuthn / FIDO2, USB OTG.
● Android device lab.
