ABOUT THE PROJECT
Our client, an international multi-entity group, is building a security-critical, privacy-first information system on its own on-premise infrastructure: hardened mobile and desktop applications, hardware-key authentication, legally isolated data for each group entity, and self-hosted finance and AI capabilities.
The programme is delivered by a senior, multi-disciplinary team working in two-week agile sprints, with compartmentalised access and a strong culture of security by design.
WORK ARRANGEMENT
This is a remote position: you will work from home, from Madagascar. No attendance at DI-Africa's offices is required.
THE ROLE
Design and build the self-hosted corporate Bitcoin custody and payment layer: per-entity wallet coordinators, hot and cold paths, and spend policies driven by the group's approval matrix.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
● Build per-entity wallet coordinators on a self-hosted Bitcoin Core node.
● Implement online and offline transaction initiation using PSBT, descriptors and Taproot.
● Design hot / cold custody architecture with limits, air-gapped and HSM-backed cold paths.
● Translate the approval matrix (RACI) into enforceable spend policies.
● Implement incoming-funds controls and test on signet / regtest environments.
TECHNICAL ENVIRONMENT
● Bitcoin Core RPC, descriptor / PSBT toolchains.
● Go or Rust (wallet coordinator), Bash/Python.
● YubiKey, Coldcard, air-gapped signing, HSM.
